All-Area girls' hoop: Tom Fleming is Coach of the Year

The 2014-15 girls' basketball season ended with losses for all but four teams in the state.

Locally, every area team was finished by the state quarterfinal round except one — Homer.

And for guiding the Trojans to the Class C quarterfinals, their first district championship in 19 years, their first regional title since 1982 and a 21-win season, Homer coach Tom Fleming has been named the 2015 Enquirer All-Area Girls' Basketball Team Coach of the Year.

Fleming headlines this year's 13-member Enquirer All-Area Girls' Basketball Team. The 2014-15 Enquirer All-Area Girls' Basketball Team is selected by area coaches and the Enquirer sports staff.

Joining Fleming on the squad are a pair of his players in Alyssa Boyd and Bailey Manis.

Posting an area-best three members on the All-Area squad was Marshall with selections for Logan Kiessling, Jill Konkle and Nikki Tucker.

After an outstanding season, Olivet also posted multiple members on the All-Area team in Alissa Costello and Teona Feldpausch.

Rounding out the team and representing their schools are Allison Fuller (Athens), Tara Kuiper (Bellevue), Kinslea Blouin (Bronson), Mary Smith (Climax-Scotts), Kristen Mohn (Delton Kellogg) and Rachel Wing (Union City).
