Chidren’s, teen authors to give talks for Hispanic Heritage Month
A children’s author and an award-winning young adult author will speak in celebration of National Hispanic Heritage Month in a collaboration between Willard Library and the Kellogg Community College’s Center for Diversity and Innovation.
José Lozano, the author and illustrator of “Little Chanclas” (Little Flip-flops), and Claudia Guadalupe Martinez, author of “The Smell of Old Lady Perfume” and “Pig Park,” will discuss their books and life experiences.
Lozano will speak at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, at the Helen Warner Branch, 36 Minges Creek Place. Martinez will talk at 6:30 p.m. October 20, at the Miller Stone Building, 77 Capital Ave. NE.
National Hispanic Heritage Month, is from September 15-October 15.
